The Ritz-Carlton, Macau have recently announced the appointment of Christian Gurtner as the general manager. The new role will primarily responsible for managing hotel operations and maintaining the brand’s top service standards. Gurtner brings with him global experience in hotel management for brands across the APAC region
Shangri-La Hotels have recently appointed Emil Leung as GM of their Shangri-La Far Eastern Plaza hotel in Taipei, Taiwan.
Emil has over 20 years experience in hotel management experience under his belt, Leung was previously the area general manager of China World Hotel, Beijing, where he managed operations and services for three hotels, and has taken part pre-opening projects in Tainan and Shenzhen.
New Head of Convention Sales for the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). They’ve recently announced the appointment of Jenice Phung, as head of conventions and conferences sales.
In her new role, Phung will head up the sales team responsible for securing international and national association conferences and conventions in an effort to grow the centre’s market share.
Pacific World have now appointed a Director of Global Sales for North America. The Global DMC and event agendy have given the new position to Scott Eames their global sales organisation. Selina Chavry Pacific World global managing director, says, “In response to an increase in demand for Pacific World expertise for global outbound events Scott is an important addition to the international sales team in delivering events in over 35 destinations.”
