DMC Pacific World Make Major Inroad in India
Global integrated event management and DMC Pacific World have off the back of their recent openings in Europe (see recent opening of Austria and German Pacific World Office) announced a huge milestone with the news of substantial growth in the Indian market. The business units of the “Le Passage to India” will now be under the Pacific World brand instead.
Global Managing Director of Pacific World Selina Chavry, commented that, “India is one of the world’s largest Business Events market, China as well. Pacific World is now taking a leader’s position in those markets for the future 5-10 years. Pacific World and LPTI clients will benefit from a one-stop shop offering for their meetings, events, incentives, congresses whether domestic, outbound and inbound.”
Pacific World Chairman, Herve Joseph-Antoine said that, “In India, similarly to China and South East Asia, business practices have dramatically changed and require compliance to business ethics, anti-corruption, and financial transparency. Recent fines and ongoing investigations from local governments, especially with US headquartered multinationals have set new expectations, away from the past. Old practices of gifts to clients, business with families and friends, facilitation payments to authorities, are now disappearing with an older generation of operators.”
Alongside this news it was announced that they will now also be partnering with TUI China to take on the Chinese market.
