Hilton to open 5 new hotels in Myanmar
Hilton the world’s largest hotel operator has released plans to open five more hotels in Myanmar in the next three years, even as its maiden project in the country is facing delays.
The lifting and suspension of sanctiions has seen a huge surge in tourists and business interest. The undercapacity in cities such as Yangon has led to a significant increase in the amount of hotels looking to open in Myanmar.
Hilton has now signed management agreements with Eden Group Company Limited. They are a business conglomerate in Myanmar for hotels.
Hilton’s first new project has been delaed and will now open in 2016, originally scheduled for 2014.
