Today we interview Asaf Darash from Regpack, we want to know who they are, what they do and where they see the industry going!

What is it your company does? How are you better than your competitors? What’s your USP?
Regpack enables organizations to register applicants quickly and effectively. Regpack’s technology enables individualized registration packages, while seamlessly integrating online payments and providing a sophisticated yet intuitive user management platform. We strive daily to build the best registration system out there and give the best support to our clients. Our focus is always on what we can do to serve our clients best, so that they can do the important work of running their business!Regpack has grown and evolved over the years because we have listened to our clients registration problems and adapted the system so that Regpack is the ultimate solution for their problems.

Where do you see the event market heading in 2016 and why?
I the event market continuing to head in the direction it’s going: emphasis on social connections, social sharing, increased mobile capabilities and just a general refinement of event technology.

It seems like marketing for events is moving more and more to Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, etc and understanding these platforms and using them well will mean better attendee experiences and a greater ability to share your message and promote your brand.

Attendees can now connect not just in person, but continue the conversation online, before during and after the event.

What new innovations or product launches can we expect from your company?
We are constantly improving upon the features we offer and always working on implementing tools and capabilities our clients are asking us for. Our product has evolved and become even better because we focus on satisfying and meeting the requests of our clients.

Up next we are rolling out a release of our payment features, to expand payment plan options, and to increase the choices users have when setting up scheduled payments.

What’s the best event you’ve done to date and why?

We managed volunteer registration for SuperBowl 50 in 2016.

It was great to be a part of such a huge event. It pushed us to create even more amazing capabilities to serve their needs and register thousands of people to be a part of the big event!

What do like most about the event industry? what do you find most challenging about the industry?
It’s never boring! There are always new and exciting events happening. As a software company, being a part of a wide range of events is fascinating. From conferences, tradeshows, nonprofits, schools, etc. We work with so many types of organizations and helping them achieve their goals is the best.

Where do you see your company in 5 years time? Where do you see the event market in 5 years time?
We were recently named one of the top 5 event management software options on Capterra, which was amazing. The other 4 in the group are all huge companies who pretty much dominate the market as compared to our smaller start up. I’d love to continue on that path of growing our business, becoming more popular, and continuing to offer a product that competes in the big leagues, all on our bootstrapped budget!

If you could give one piece of advice to anyone starting out as an event professional what would it be?
Trust your gut. It’s my advice for anyone doing business. Instinct is huge and if you’re going to be good at what you do you will need to take risks, put yourself out there and work hard.

What else do you want to tell the event community about yourselves?
Just 5 short years ago, my company was an idea in my head while writing my thesis. And now its a full blown company ranking in the top 5 in the market. I’m really proud of the work my team and I have put in to making this software great and inspiring the event community to register smart. It’s empowering to be on the cutting edge as technology develops and grows to meet the new needs of the event world, as we move from traditional marketing, to our attendees using social media to market for us, as we increase the use of mobile in registration, payments, connection and networking, and beyond!
