New Zealand Event Contractors Combine      

Hirepool, the New Zealand event marquee and equipment company have recently acquired the South Island’s Continental Event Hire. Continental Event Hire will merge in August with Hirepool to expand their operations in the South of New Zealand.

National events manager Greg Crayford said of the merge that it will provide a, “super service team” for clients. “While we have been operating our own specialist events division for some time, Continental Event Hire is the acknowledged marquee specialist for the South Island. “Apart from their public events profile, Continental also has considerable market share in the specialised sectors of conferencing, corporate events and weddings.”

The event catering division of Continental’s Event will remain part of the existing business and it will not be affected by the merger.

MCI Nordics and Scandic Hotels enter strategic partnership.

Scandid Hotels, the biggest hotel chain in the Nordic region have now entered in to a partnership with MCI Nordics, one of the regions leading meeting and event management companies.

The new partnership aims to offer high levels of customer service to MCI’s customers who may have high demands when it comes to accommodation, meeting space and food & beverage. Scandic have a leading hotel portfoilio and it is an important platform for high quality events.
