UFI – Global Association of the Exhibition Industry launch a new leadership grant to help event professionals. The “Next Generation Leadership Grant” (NGL Grant for short) has been created to help create and nurture the next generation of leaderships throughout the exhibition industry
The initiative has received funding from event organiser REED Exhibitions and its aims are to reward professionals who are showing leadership within the industry, encouraging growth and driving new changes. The scheme is to give five event professionals the opportunity to become involved in planning and realising some of the largest events in the global event industry.
A spokesperson from the UFI stated that the scheme was ‘a chance to analyse the changes our industry faces and investigate new opportunities opened up by factors such as globalisation and digitalisation.’
The programme will give five outstanding professionals the chance to become involved in the planning and realisation of some of the biggest events in the global exhibition industry.
The applicants will be required to conduct a one hour session to leading global event professionals at the 83rd UFI Global Congress in Shanghai and the New International Expo Centre this 9-12 November.
The entry criteria for applicants are as follows:
· Employed full-time in the exhibition industry
· Available on 13-14 June for a working group in Paris and for the Shanghai event
· Needs to be able to work on the project alongside other work commitments
· A minimum of 10 years experience
