Asian Internet Giant Alibaba Join Forces with UBM

The rapidly growing Asian based Alibaba B2B business unit have partnered online with UBM to promote online and offline trade buying in the Asia region. The initial focus is to be just on Asia, however this is expected to grow.

The pilot programme will look to introduce Alibaba’s B2B trading platform to companies taking part in UBM’s events and trade fair. The first event to trial this will be UBM Asia’s Malaysia International Furniture Fair, after that they will try it at the Finefood Shanghai and then finally the Materials Manufacturing & Technology and Fashion Access events in Hong Kong.

Further pilots are expected in to 2016 with an emphasis put on rolling this out in a progressive manner.
