The Mövenpick Hotel and Resorts have announced major plans to expand their operations in Asia. The group is to open 8 new resorts and hotels over the next three years in the Asia region. Their debut property in Jimbaran has recently opened in Bali. The CEO for Middle East and Asia, Andreas Mattmuller said, “As the company’s first hotel in Indonesia, this is a perfect place to start,” With further hotels currently being considered across Indonesia and mainly in Jakarta.
Thailand is set to open a new resort in Pattaya in the first quarter of 2016 if all goes to plan. Other venues being considered inclue: Kuala Lumpur and Terrengganu Malaysia, Vietnam, Boracay in the Philippines and Chiefeng in China
