Thailand Ranks Top For Pacific World Destination Index

Thailand has added the accolade of top ranking on the Pacific World Destination Index to their growing list of achievements in the business events sector.

Destination Management Company Pacific World have ranked them as Asia’s number on in their latest Index Survey. Indonesia came in a close second and Hong Kong managed to climb to third place. The 2016 edition of the survey is based on international event enquiries, meeting and event results, feedback from visitors and delegates.

Singapore who have for years strived for top position in the events market in Asia came close to the bottom with a ranking of 8th, having fallen from 3rd.

Thailand’s Country Manager for Pacific World, Ben Chamrernnusit said that the top ranking was due to affordability and, “Great accessibility, warm hospitality, tasty cuisine and beautiful attractions all contribute to Thailand remaining one of the most visited destinations for meetings and incentives, but most important point in my view is our destination’s ‘value for money’ and what this allows our clients’ budget to do for their events.”

The top three destinations in the country are: the capital Bangkok, the second city of Phuket in the south and the northern countryside city of Chiang Mai
